Donations

First, thanks for even looking at this page. You're either considering passing over a few bucks or you are curious as to why on earth someone would ask for a donation. Either way, I appreciate it and hope you can learn a little something more about it through the process. To get a better understanding, it might help to get to know a little more about me, so here goes.

I was born in California and moved inland to Oklahoma because of a Father's retirement from the military. This same Father wasn't exactly the easiest to get along with. We all have our stories about difficult Fathers, but let's just say an old retired NCO was definitely something special. Eventually, after I turned 15 I was kicked out of my house. I did have an old salvaged Wrangler I rebuilt from the salvage yard to start driving when I turned 16. Luckily I had that to live in for a few months before I moved in with a couple guys I worked with at Taco Bell.

I dropped out of high school my junior year to work full time at Taco Bell to pay for the bills to live. My senior year I finally went back and graduated on time like I was supposed to. I attempted to go to college right after that, but for one to get financial aid you had to have the income from your parents. My Father wouldn't give his tax information because he thought the process was going to force him to sign for a loan for me (obviously, not). So, I didn't get a start on school until I was 23 when I was finally making enough to work and take classes part time.

My college career has been interesting. I started with Biology with the intent to go into veterinary medicine. I've always had an interest in animals, life, and marine ecology. But I didn't have the confidence to follow through and changed majors. Apparently, growing up with a Father whose nickname for you was "Stupid" or synonyms of it doesn't give one a lot of confidence for a medical degree. I ended up changing majors to a computer forensics degree because it was decent money fast... and that was good for my girlfriend at the time. Speaking of, I lived with her and while saving some money, paying for my school, I was also paying for her school debt.

As life turns out, she became pregnant. Sadly, the child wasn't mine and we had a hard breakup. Now, after her, I realized I can do anything I set my mind to. All I'll say about that relationship was that it wasn't healthy, but it was perfect for me to gain my confidence and she came into my life when I needed it.

So here I am, a Junior in college with an Associates of Science degree and a life a head of him. I also believed my last name translated to cockroach in almost every language because we are a persistent breed. I'll find a way to mange, but would appreciate any loose change you might have to throw my way. Below is a list of things I will strive to accomplish in the near future, with your help.
  1. Graduate College (Bachelors; with a possibility on Vet-School depending on career opportunities)
  2. Diesel Engine Classes
  3. Electrical Studies
  4. SCUBA Certification
  5. Sailing Experience
  6. Sailboat
  7. Career
  8. Liveaboard
  9. Camera to Record the Experiences
If you've gotten this far, maybe you are still considering it. The donation button is located on the right and you can input anything you choose is fair. If you want to add a message or email to let me know what exactly the money is for, I assure you it'll be set aside for that purpose.

Thanks for considering it,
